Once again, Monashee Area has kindly extended an invitation for members of Kootenay Area to attend training in their area. Registration deadline is FEBRUARY 10th, so register now!

Presentation & Communication Skills

March 2-4, 2012

Camp Arbuckle

This is an opportunity for you to magically gain some skills that will help you plan and present to adults in comfort. Monashee Area is offering a weekend of Presentation and Communication Skills that will cover the TEAM modules from the Trainer stream plus a few enrichment modules. This is especially relevant for Guiders who wish to improve their skills, whether you are a Unit Guider, Administrator or someone who may consider being a Trainer. Car pool with people attending the Arts Training!

Want to add a little MAGIC to your program? Join us at Camp Arbuckle for an enchanting weekend of music, dance, drama and crafts. This event is for ALL Guiders – all branches, all levels of experience. And you can car-pool with people attending the Presentation & Communication Skills training, same time, same place.

Guide Rally 8-10 June 2012

Who: This rally is for Girl Guides and their Guiders.

What: Further information involving registration forms, registration fees and other paper work will be coming out in mid – Late March.

When: June 8 – 10 2012

Where: Camp Rory, Rossland BC (Hwy 22, Patterson, South of Rossland, Fire #650 )

Why: To celebrate Guiding, make new friendships and have new experiences with other Girl Guide members in the Kootenay Area.

This Guider Rally will to a “trip around the world” at Camp Rory. Girls and Guiders will both experience different cultures from around the world, through crafts, dance, songs, drama and food!
By participating in these activities, the Cupcakes and Candles as well as the Arts to Go Outdoors challenges will be completed.

Under the Boughs 2012 is being held Feb 3 to 5 at Camp Bonnett near Greenwood.

Come out and play in the snow as a Patrol or sign up individually.

waterproof maps.

Here’s a video showing how to print your own waterproof maps (or anything else you need to be waterproof). You need paper, white garbage bags, clear baggies, an iron, scissors and an ink-jet printer.
